I agree with Diamond Sunflower about you displaying a broader range of hair styles to fit More's diverse readers. I was eager to find some cut ideas for curly, kinky hair but no luck. Please consider us, the not so easy to cut or style hair next time you address perfect hair cuts.
Need more ideas which include diversity, beautiful women of color with beautiful textures of God given and blessed natural hair in short, medium and long styles. Thanks so much!
i'm looking for a new do and like what i see here---the fact that some of these women have also had LOTS of work done-Ellen Barkin who's 60-something-does add to the youthfulness of the 'do's'...still, good choices
I must disagree with your assessment of the changes at MORE, Tina. I look around at women my age (49) and can tell by their appearance that they've given up on looking good. And, no, it's not just my opinion or judgement upon them: I'm in the fashion industry, and that's what THEY tell me. I feel that MORE makes it clear that we've only just begun at 40 and the best is yet to come! The articles on "reinvention" after losing a career were very helpful to me after being "down-sized" where I formerly worked. I'm picky about my magazines, and I want the whole "shebang" when it comes to articles on health, food, travel, fashion and beauty! We deserve it!
Dear friends at More: I have been putting off writing to you hoping the changes you have made to the magazine would not stick! Some have, some have not. I've tried to embrace the changes, giving your new editor a chance to realize we are not teens or 20 somethings, we are mature, 40 and 50 year olds. You have changed the design and layout of the magazine to resemble Glamour Magazine, a magazine I gave up long ago. I am not looking for 100 ways to look good this fall - maybe one or two good ones that I can actually incorporate into my daily routine or budget would be nice. The topics I enjoyed are no longer on your pages - stories of women who followed their dreams, changed their lives and those of their families. True stories that reflect the nature of mature women who realize that only they can make themselves happy. They are responsible for their present, past and future. Alas, I have decided not to renew my subscription and I sadly say - Goodbye! Tina Harris Dummerston Vt
