Sexy at Any Age, Any Size

Another woman in her 50s also strutted by. She walked with such confidence that she also attracted the attention and admiration of both men and women. Because, not only was she confident, wearing red and walking with a confident stride, she had a relaxed, happy look on her face that said she was happy with who she was and she was somebody you wanted to know.

Some women give up at a certain age believing they're too old. Well, that makes it even easier for those of us who are self-assured, and we stand out even more and certainly get a lot more attention than when we were younger with stiffer competition and perhaps not as much confidence.

So, whatever your age or size, put on your best outfit and strut your stuff. Because here’s a truth: men are more accepting of a woman’s age and size than women are. After all, it's not about age or your size; it's all about the attitude. Change that and anything can happen.

Hi Kathy! Great story, great concept. Yes, it's all about the beauty coming from the inside out. There's a great quote by Diana Vreeland you may have heard, ''you don't have to be born beautiful to be wildly attractive.'' So true. (btw, she lived in an almost entirely red apartment in NYC!). It's fascinating to watch women, as you describe in your story, who may not be the media prototype for "beautiful" or "sexy", but ARE and are having fun workin' it. Congratulations on the novels! -Heather ps- my dad just gave me the best book I've ever read on writing, "If You Want to Write," by Brenda Ueland
