When you reach THAT age, you HAVE to buy Spanx

I put on a whopping 60lb during my pregnancy. It practically fell off right after giving birth and I was a lean machine for a few years. I was the thinnest I'd been in years and years and I loved it.

Now... well that's another story. The weight is creeping back on. It's annoying because I'm a tall gal - about 5' 11" - and I've always been thin. I'm used to a certain body type and I've never really had to do anything to maintain it. I WAS one of the lucky ones. Until now.

I blame my perimenopause again damn it! My lifestyle really hasn't changed much. I don't eat a lot of crap. I've never liked sweets or creamy/fatty things. I don't even drink alcohol. I walk to work and back everyday. So there's no other excuse I can think of.

I believe they call it a "muffin top". You know, that bit of chubbness around the mid section? Ya that's the one. I have it and I don't like it. Yes, I'm fully aware that diet and exercise will take care of it. We all know that. But I never had to do that before and that's what frustrates me. I'm at THAT age now. You know THAT age? The one where its all downhill from here.

Yes, I'm ranting. I just need to bitch out loud because I'm just not ready for THAT age. If I stay mentally immature, shouldn't my body follow suit? "Middle aged spread"... F that I say! I will try to lose the weight eventually. I'm not ready to make a consorted effort yet. I'm still in the stage where I choose to believe that talking about it will some how make me loose the weight. (Some of us stay in this stage for a long time - then we move on to Research stage and stay there for even longer - Action stage rarely happens).

I'll research some good weight loss tips for the perimenopausal set. But in the meantime I bought my first pair of Spanx. Until next time.Visit my blog here.
