How Did I Get So Chesty?
During my annual physical I brought up the increasing state of my bust line to my doctor. She's a few years younger so we were able to get a good laugh about my predicament. After the guffaws, she switched to her professional voice and told me that women who've never been pregnant often end up with very dense breasts. (Have no fear, dear readers, they're screened every year, mostly recently two months ago, this time with an ultrasound to get around the density issue.)
More than anything I find the irony a little rich. Most women my age who succeeded in getting pregnant and/or breastfeeding are worried about their ta-tas reaching their knees. Who knew being infertile meant that I'd have, as a consolation prize, full sensuous Playboy bunny-like breasts well into my 40s? I can't wait to see what they're like in my 50s.
Now, hormones, 'fess up. What do you have in store for your next act???

Update: On the to-do list today: bra shopping! These girls are out of control...
I was a DD at age 16. Still am. Not yet started menopause. Dear Goddess, please do not make these babies any bigger!
Wow-thank you for writing this, I had the same experience. I am still a 36 DD, and in the 50"s. Still have the issue with clothes, dresses do not work, and it is so hard to dress. Now, however I have the issues of entering menopause, and my waist is challenging me....by the way, I have three children and very dense breasts, and breastfeed each child for 9 mo.
At 53 and 3 kids later, I have the same "problem" . Not a problem really, it still takes me by surprise and the girls have been like this for the last 5 years! Going for a bra fitting update...C to ? You go girls!
no kidding. i have lost 30 pounds and was in need of undergarmets. i ordered my favorite bali bra only to discover they are too small. how can one lose 30 pounds at my age and have a larger cup size. i was a DD anyway. this is not amusing. there is no amount of wire that will hold this set up, and i scar too much to have them surgically lifted; i am afraid that wont work out well, although i have a friend who had that done and she LOVES it. thank goodness my favorite bra comes in DDD. geeeeez, for those who want them, you can have them. i have had them all my life and i am weary...
