It's bad enough that I suffer (occasionally now instead of often) from adult acne. I don't care that my dermatologist says that doctors like this because it means our hormones are working fine. I DON'T CARE! What I really hate about my skin, and I mean the skin on my face more so than anywhere else on my body, (isn't that how it usually is with most women?) is the older I get, the BIGGER MY PORES GET! I could care less about the wrinkles. I only have a few crow's feet, er, laugh lines by my eyes. I have one big crease between my eyes, a big frown line, but my dad, both sisters and my brother have the exact same line, so that doesn't bother me either. No, it's those stinkin' pores. Pores on my nose, on my cheeks, my chin, even under my EYEBROWS, for cripes sake! Who gets large pores in their eyebrows??!! Me!! That's who!! Why can't I have normal problems like other women, the dry skin and wrinkles? I still have oily skin and I'm 49! I'm not a teenager any more! And I can't seem to find the right make up to make all those pores just disappear. If anyone has a product suggestion, I'm all ears. I just started using a skincare product called Porefection and I like it so far. It's the makeup I still have issues with.
But my biggest pet peeve about my skin, what I abhor the most, are whiteheads. Eeuuww! I'm bad, very bad. My dermatologist has taken them off for me, and he uses this little tool, it's like a tiny knife but it's not a knife, but it's like a needle and not a needle. I have no idea what it is, but all I know is he basically cuts or pokes a hole in the skin and DIGS THAT SUCKER OUT! Sure, he's been trained and the tools are sterile, etc. etc. etc. I dig those suckers out myself. Yep, tole ya I was bad! The only place I won't attempt to get at is around my eyes, I let the doc do those. I don't know what it is, vanity or what, but I can't stand those baby's and I can't understand how some people can just leave them there on their face, sometimes for years! Especially if they are really big! It's simple to get rid of them! Ugh, I can't stand to look at them, on my face or anyone elses'.
