As I grow older
I’m learning something about love
I'm learning that I wasn’t in it
Not from the start
That man married me knowing
But I’m learning something about love
I’m learning that when your man doesn’t touch you
And you don’t care
Or pretend not to until you don’t
That’s not love
I don’t always know if I love this man I’m with now
This man who's shown me the power in surrender
I do know this
If this man turned away as that man did
I could not pretend
I still don't know what love truly is
Or if that's what I feel for this man
I do know I didn’t feel this for that man
Because of this man, I know that now
I am learning something about love
