I'm a confident, 45 year old female who regardless of the age of the Model used in the advertising, feels, "If it's cute, looks good, and I want it, I'll buy it" Age is nothing but a state of mind. I do believe their should be diverse models of all shapes, sizes, ages and colors, but nothing about seeing someone who is not within my age limit is going to stop me from strutting my stuff!
Marla, I agree with you on the Wolford tights. I actually snagged my pair on a door the first time I put them on, and was horrified to think I'd just thrown away $50. Turns out they didn't even rip. Pretty amazing.
ok, here's my beef--yeah I know..there she goes again...:) but if you put an older model in any one of these 5 photos, she would look greatl AND your readers would feel like they might wear it too---even the bra/panty number---gorgeous, btw-----i'd look good in that little number and my sweetie would like it, too-----there is a huge pool of over 40 models out there----tell your advertisers to get with it and USE them----we'll buy....you know why? we HAVE the money.....we just aren't likely to look at stuff worn by women our daughters' ages and think.."I could wear that!"...Show us that we can wear it by using models in our age range that do!
ok, I NEVER spend that kind of money on ordinary stockings----BUT I do spend it on Wolford tights---they are AMAZING..I wore one pair for several seasons...no lie----they just don't run or snag unless you're careless which I'm not when I put them on..simply because they DO cost so much... good call here----i highly recommend Wolford--they also give a little needed support where i need it--my tummy----as in 3 pregnancies and many years later....
