- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1/3 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 teaspoon. strawberry extract

Eckel says aspirin is outstanding at drying up blemishes because it contains salicylic acid and witch hazel, which work together to tighten pores and wick away oil.
- 5 uncoated aspirin tablets
- 1 teaspoon witch hazel
- 1 teaspoon honey
Crush the aspirin tablets in the witch hazel and then combine those two ingredients with honey. Organic plain yogurt can be substituted for the honey if you are looking for more exfoliation.

Kristen Arnett, founder of GreenBeautyTeam.com and beauty contributor for Whole Foods Market, came up with this beauty scrub which doubles as a yummy apple crumble recipe.
- Half an apple, any variety, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 3 tablespoons crushed walnuts
- 2 teaspoons raw honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Juice from 1/4 lemon
- 2 teaspoons raw turbinado sugar
Using a food processor is the best way to mix the apple, oatmeal, walnuts, raw honey, cinnamon and lemon juice together into a thick paste. Add the raw turbinado sugar to the scrub right before applying the paste on the skin.
