Easy Sugar Scrub Recipe for Softer Lips

When fall weather rolls around, it brings cooler temps and dry lips. But instead of settling for sandpaper lips, try this sugar scrub recipe. It's easy to make, and it tastes delicious, too. Make this sugar scrub recipe for softer, kissable lips this fall!

Easy Sugar Scrub

Sugar scrubs not only taste delicious, but also have many amazing health benefits. Sugar scrubs can reverse early signs of aging, tone and tighten skin, gently exfoliate without clogging pores, and prevent blemishes! The best part about making your own sugar scrub is that you can tweak it to your liking. Here's how to make this sugar scrub recipe, along with the healing properties of each ingredient.

Easy Sugar Scrub Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar: Sugar naturally draws moisture to your skin and keeps skin hydrated. It is also a natural exfoliant that permeates the cells, giving you fresher and younger-looking skin.
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil (or coconut or almond oil)
  • 7 drops peppermint extract: It smells amazing, and mint is known for its calming properties and as a headache remedy.
  • 1/2 lemon zest: Lemons are rich in vitamin C and can boost collagen in skin, making the skin brighter. Lemons help remove dead skin cells and dried skin. (Note: If making this scrub exclusively for chapped lips, skip the lemon! If making it for your body, lemon is an invigorating ingredient.)

Simply mix all the ingredients in a small container, seal it, and store in the refrigerator. Use this scrub twice each week for the best results. You can also try this recipe with other scents: Lavender, orange, or eucalyptus essential oils are all good choices. Your lips will thank you!
