Three Quick and Easy Hairstyles for Second-Day Hair

Locks feeling less than lustrous? Whether you're shooting for healthy hair or just don't have the time to wash, rinse and repeat before work, here are the easiest hairstyles just for your day-two (or three) tresses.

The busier we get, the less time we have to poof and prep our hair in the morning. The good news is it's actually healthier to keep your hair unwashed for 2-3 days, which is a win/win in our book. Teaching your hair to de-stress and stay grease-free as you lower your number of washes can take months, luckily we have these three hairstyles for second day hair to help you out in the meantime.

First, use dry shampoo. Not only does dry shampoo help oil disappear, but it also adds texture to keep your locks in place throughout the day whether it's in a messy bun or piecey braid. Here are three hairstyles for second day hair to get you through the week:

Second Day Hair Bun

The Messy Bun
This is one of the most casual effortless styles you can do. Although it takes some playing around, a perfectly placed messy bun can go from brunch to business without a hitch.

Second Day Hair Braid

The French Side Braid
This hairstyle for second day hair takes less than five minutes and looks gorgeous. For shorter hair, add a side braid tucked behind your ear to teach yourself not to touch your hair during the day (which causes oil development).

Second Day Hair Bow

Add an Accessory
Fake time spent by getting your hair out of your face and adding a feminine bow. All you have to do is tie your hair in a half up, half down fashion and put a bow over the hair tie to hide it.
