Hot Pink Lipsticks We Love

Being a child of the ’80s and ’90s, my instinct is actually to say “neon pink,” but that’s not the point. The point is that it’s March now, so I no longer feel any need to pay homage to dreary winter, and am officially in full-force Spring Makeup Mode. I’m busting out my lavender eye shadows, my mint-green nail polish, my bright pink lipsticks.

There’s no easier way to instantly spring-ify than to add a punchy pop of color on the lips, and I’m also of the opinion that a great lipstick makes a face look more “done” than any other cosmetic product.

Smashbox Be Discovered Be Legendary Lipstick in Bright Pink FuchsiaThis is from the Smashbox’s spring 2012 Be Discovered collection, which is bursting with amazing colors. This lipstick is creamy and long-lasting. ($20, Smashbox.com)

NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Dolly GirlGloss or stick? Pigment or shine? Durability or comfort? Now you don’t have to choose—NYX Xtreme Lip Cream is the best of both worlds. ($5.99, ULTA)

Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox PinkI got this Birchbox-exclusive shade in my box a few months ago, but you don’t have to be a Birchbox subscriber to buy it. Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss is perfectly non-sticky and gloop-free. ($20, Birchbox.com)

Illamasqua Lipstick in CorruptThis grown-up-looking matte fuschia has just a touch of bluish pigment, which can make teeth seem whiter. ($24, Sephora.com)

Laura Mercier Spring Renaissance Creme Smooth Lip Color in Palm BeachThis cream formula applies smoothly and evenly, and is packed with pure olive oil and vitamin E to keep your lips nourished all day long. ($27, Nordstrom)
