Nail Art Design: Game...

Nail Art Design: Game Night Meets Mani with Tic-Tac-Toe Inspiration

Line up a stack of Xs and Os for a winning nail art design. Just follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to paint tic-tac-toe on your nails!

Tic-tac-toe is a timeless game. But it's even more fun to play on your nails! I wanted to add some glam to this nail art design, so I used glitter polish and rhinestones. (A little glam makes everything more fun, don't you agree?) For this nail art, I used OPI's Gargantuan Green Grape as my pop of color (a soft pastel is a nice background for the black game board lines), silver glitter, and rhinestone accents. Before you start, clean your nails and shape them to the desired look.

Here's how to do it:

1. Apply China Glaze Base Coat to prep the nails for the design. Apply two coats of the following base colors: China Glaze White on White on your ring finger, China Glaze Platinum Silver on your pointer finger and OPI Gargantuan Green Grape on your thumb, middle finger, and pinky.
2. Take your thin nail art brush and dip it into China Glaze Liquid Leather. Draw a grid on your ring fingernail with four lines for the tic-tac-toe board and small Xs on the bottom corner of your thumb, pinky, and ring finger.

3. Use your tweezers to pick up the rhinestones. Place a dot of China Glaze Base Coat to the back of each rhinestone and place on the tic-tac-toe board and beside the Xs on your other nails.
4. Now that you know where you want to place the rhinestones on your tic-tac-toe board, you can draw in the Xs with a thin nail art brush dipped in China Glaze Liquid LeatherFinish off your design with China Glaze Top Coat. Be sure to paint around the rhinestones so they don't lose their dimension.

Here's a video showing how I created this Nail Art design.
