I love spring, because it gives me an excuse to use my extensive pastel nail art collection, not that I need an excuse—pastels are my absolute favorite. Daisies and florals remind me of spring, so I put together a simple spring floral design for you. You can create this in just four easy steps, and it looks great. Another version to try: Outline the daisies with black nail polish or acrylic paint to make them stand out a bit more. I left it like this for a more subtle effect. Here's how to do it:
1. Paint your nails with a base color of your choice. It doesn't have to be a pastel, but this soft sky blue created such a pretty color combo. For a bolder look, paint the base of your nails black to make the daisies pop. My base color was Barry M's Huckleberry.
2. To make the petals, use a thin nail art brush and white nail varnish. Press your brush down and flick towards the center, repeating this for the whole flower.
3. Paint the center of each flower yellow. I used Graffiti Nails's Mellow.
4. Finish off with a topcoat to seal in your design and prevent it from chipping. Top tip: if you wrap the tip of your nail both with your base color and topcoat then your mani will last much longer! I recommend Seche Vite's Dry Fast Top Coat.
Here's a Pin-able version with all the steps and a finished image.
