Better Brush Cleaning
When it comes to cleaning your brushes, some sources will say you should clean them once a week and some will say once a month. Personally, I find it most reasonable and hygienic enough to clean brushes once every two weeks. Now, if you're a makeup artist you're pretty much going to be cleaning your brushes almost daily since you're working on different people every day. But if you're the only one using your brush collection, once every two weeks should suffice. My favorite brush cleaner? The Cinema Secrets Professional Brush Cleaner is it. As far as beauty tips go, this one's a must!
Fight for Flawless Skin
Since flawless, glowing skin is the look everyone's going for right now, one of the most important beauty tips I'm sticking to in 2014 is a combination of serious skin care and minimal makeup. This year I'm committing to diligently using an eye cream with an SPF every single day! While I've always been good at applying an SPF face cream, I've been fairly lax on the sun protection when it comes to my eye area. But this year I'm committing to reaching for my Ole Henriksen Total Truth Eye Serum SPF 15 every single day. On top of that, I'm refocusing my makeup routine: The idea is to apply as little makeup as possible, keeping the skin looking natural but still glowing and flawless.
Overall Healthy Lifestlye
Lifestyle habits play a huge role in how healthy (or unhealthy!) our skin looks, and as far as beauty tips go, I'd go so far as to say that lifestyle habits are among the most important. There are two specific elements that contribute to how healthy your skin looks: hydration and stress. Let me break it down for you. More hydration, better skin. Less stress, better skin. That's all there is to it.
