Vergara once told People Magazine, "My look is not exotic in Colombia. I'm like the ugly duckling over there." 

The British actress once confessed "I was monumentally ugly until I was about 15 so I still have that mindset." 

The Oscar nominated actress told Allure, "I was homely [as a teenager], painfully small, short, with too much blue eye shadow because I thought, 'it matches my eyes, so why not'?"

The Grammy-winning singer told StyleList about her insecurities as a teen, "Growing up being half-black, half-white, I felt weird. I didn't look like anybody. No one knew how to fix my hair. My facial features stood out. But even though I've grown since, some of those things still remain with me."

Mendes told WWD she was thrilled to follow in the footsteps of Kate Moss as the face for Calvin Klein Obsession because "I felt very awkward in my teen years. I remember when Kate's ads came out. Her teeth weren't perfect and she wasn't blonde; my friends and I could relate to that."

Dion revealed "I was not a good-looking girl. I was extremely skinny. I wasn't pretty. I wasn't cool."

Klum told CBS her acne was so bad as a teen that people called her "pizza face."

The actress says she was made fun of for her signature hair color. "At school, I did get teased about it. You want dark or blonde hair like everybody else in the room." 

The former Victoria's Secret model says was teased and called "Olive Oyl" for being unusually tall and skinny in her native Brazil. 

The Charlie's Angels star said of her younger years "I was thin as a pipe cleaner with short, short hair. My mother would cut my hair all the way around my head like a bowl because she thought it was cleaner. You couldn't tell if I was a boy or a girl. I was skinny, gaunt and generally unattractive."
