The Eye Has to Travel (opening September 21) chronicles on film the eccentricity and passion of the Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue editor who defined fashion journalism from 1936 to 1971. The posse she developed boasted such members as Mick Jagger, Twiggy and Rudolf Nureyev—all joyfully displayed in a documentary that celebrates the diva while facing up to her less successful role as a mother.
