If the queen’s jubilee and the Summer Olympic Games weren’t enough to lure you to England, perhaps an up-close and personal look at the Downton Abbey castle will get you to cross the pond.
MSNBC reports tours will be held at Highclere Castle, where much of the hit PBS TV series is filmed, starting July 1.
Owned since 1679 by the family of current residents Lady Fiona and Lord Geordie Carnarvon, the estate is just a 90-minute drive from London. About $25 will earn you a firsthand look at the gardens, saloon, library, music room, bedrooms and more, according to the network.
No word if appearances by Maggie Smith will be included in the price of admission.
