“It’s the first and last thing I’ve written,” says Holland Taylor (in costume, below). She’s speaking of Ann, a new show (opening on Broadway March 7) in which Taylor, best known for Two and a Half Men, pays tribute to Ann Richards, the late governor of Texas. Taylor says Richards “was unique. She had four children, entered politics in her forties, was terrifically smart and fun.” How did Richards go from mom to gov? “She was the kind of woman who gets the stop sign put up at an intersection where there’s always an accident.”
