Jamie Lee Curtis recently blogged about Michael Jackson’s death and her own addiction to pills. The Daily Beast quotes her saying, “I too found painkillers after a routine cosmetic surgical procedure and I too became addicted.” She talked about her addiction—and sobriety—extensively in MORE magazine a year ago, saying, “I had a problem with drugs and alcohol. The feeling I got from [the pills] was, oh, wow, I feel better. So I rode that. No one knew.” Curtis also admits she stole her sister’s painkillers at one point and wrote her a letter, saying, “‘I’ve betrayed you, and I know that you’re angry, and you have every right to be…. I am lonely. I take them at night at home to ease the pain. I was so afraid to tell you.’”
