20 Reality TV Stars Who Went On to Do Porn

Believe it or not, not all reality TV stars go on to lead happy, glamorous lives.

Dustin Diamond

VIEW ALL

As much as we'd like to think that Dustin Diamond was a creepy nom de guerre that Diamond gave himself after getting into porn, it's actually his birth name. After playing the annoying comedic sidekick Screech in Saved By the Bell, Diamond spent a number of years playing himself in films like Pauly Shore is Dead and Childstar. He also appeared in reality TV shows like Celebrity Fit Club and Celebrity Big Brother. But when neither of those career paths panned out, Diamond filmed and leaked his own sex tape. The video didn't get Diamond the money or fame he thought it would, and he spent years trying to rebuild his reputation afterward, including telling The Daily Beast that the video was faked.

Farrah Abraham

VIEW ALL

MTV has a long and glorious history of terrible show ideas, but 16 and Pregnant might be the worst. After starring in both 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom, Farrah Abraham hooked up with porn star James Deen in 2013 for a pair of porn videos, titled Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom and Farrah 2: Backdoor and More. Abraham was last seen on Vh1's Couples Therapy, where she became the first person to appear on the show without a partner.

Tonya Cooley

VIEW ALL

A well-traveled veteran of MTV's reality programming, Tonya Cooley has appeared on the 11th season of The Real World in 2002 and six iterations of Real World/Road Rules Challenge. In between, she found time to appear in the Cinemax softcore series The Erotic Traveler, as well as Girls Gone Wild. She even posed for Playboy's "Cyber Girl of the Week" feature. Ironically, Cooley refused to participate in any challenges involving nudity while filming the Real World/Road Rules: Battle of the Sexes series in 2003 and 2004.

Like, the entire cast of 'Tool Academy'

VIEW ALL

Yes, there was a reality TV show called Tool Academy and, no, it WASN'T about gay porn stars, but six of its cast members did go on to do actual gay porn. Between January and March of 2010, Straight College Men released a series of videos featuring Stewart Ellefson, Tyler Synon, Dan Jovicevic, and John Lamb from season 2, along with Ryan Matsunaga and Shawn Southern of season 1. The producers of the show sued Bait & Tackle, which owned the website, seeking to stifle the videos on the basis that the six men had violated their contracts. The best part of the lawsuit is that there is now an official court document that reads "Tool Academy v. Bait & Tackle."

Darva Conger

VIEW ALL

Darva Conger made a reality TV name for herself as the only winner of Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire. The show was lambasted for being exploitative and cynical, and only saw one season. Conger—who served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated magna cum laude from Southern Illinois University—married titular multimillionaire Rick Rockwell on live TV in the series finale, but the so-called millionaire wasn't a millionaire after all. Conger came back from the honeymoon claiming the marriage was never consummated, and the pair filed for an annulment soon after. Before the summer of 2000 was over, Conger capitalized on her fame by appearing in Playboy.

Heidi Montag

VIEW ALL

Quite possibly the worst thing to come out of MTV's The Hills was the unholy alliance of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Always coming as a package deal, "Speidi" went on to appear in several commercials, as well as reality shows like I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, Celebrity Wife Swap, and Marriage Boot Camp. The couple also filmed a sex tape in 2010, which they actively shopped and sold to the highest bidder.

Brooke Thompson

VIEW ALL

Reality TV is, at best, a guilty pleasure. But when future historians look back on the early 21st century—likely to figure out where humanity wrong—they'll probably pinpoint Flavor of Love, a show where a bunch of women fought for the chance to get naked with Flavor Flav. Among those women, was Brooke "Pumkin" Thompson who finished third. Although she didn't win, Thompson went on to participate in Flavor of Love: Charm School and the aptly named I Love Money, before switching gears and appearing on Playboy's Foursome.

Michele Noonan

VIEW ALL

Foursome—while undeniably explicit—is set up like a reality TV show, so it shouldn't be too surprising that the Playboy Channel finds many of its players from shows like Flavor of Love and Big Brother. Michele Noonan got her sexy start on the latter. After finishing fourth in season 11 of Big Brother, Noonan—a self-proclaimed nerd with a PhD in neuroscience—went on to appear on Foursome the next year.

Adrianne Curry

VIEW ALL

When Adrianne Curry became the first winner of America's Next Top Model, everyone expected big things for her and they weren't entirely wrong. While Curry's career never came close to that of ANTM host Tyra Banks, she had a respectable modeling career, when she wasn't making additional reality TV appearances on shows like The Surreal Life. In 2006, Curry posed for Playboy, appearing on the cover of the February issue that year. She returned to the cover in January of 2008 and was featured in two more issues that year as well. These days, you might know Curry as the spokesmodel for The Flex Belt.

VIEW ALL

Ukrainian-born Flora Alekseyeun appeared on season five of The Real World: Miami, and became notorious after forcing her way through a pair of glass shutters to watch her fellow housemates engage in a threesome. Six years after the show concluded, Alekseyeun took part in Playboy's Real World/Road Rules Challenge shoot, along with half a dozen of other former contestants.

Another Real World contestant, Joey Kovar appeared in the show's 20th iteration, filmed in Hollywood. With a history of drug and alcohol abuse, Kovar left the show for treatment after episode four, returned on episode eight, and left for good after episode nine. The fitness buff worked out relentlessly and ate clean, making him perfect to appear in Playgirl in 2011.

Kristine Lefebvre appeared in season six of The Apprentice, finishing in the final six before being fired by Donald Trump. Shortly after, in 2007, Lefebvre was featured on the cover of Playboy—she had won a trip to the Playboy Mansion during an Apprentice challenge. After the shoot, Lefebvre, an accomplished attorney, went on to provide legal council and contract assistance to a number of other Playboy cover models, including Pamela Anderson and Deborah Gibson.

Kim Kardashian

VIEW ALL

Kim Kardashian's life has a "chicken or egg" relationship with nudity. After becoming a reality TV star on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the starlet posed nude for many outlets, including Playboy, a few less risque publications, and, on occasion, her own Instagram feed. However, her reality TV career probably wouldn't have taken off in the first place, if not for the release of her Ray J sex tape. In fact, some speculate that the sex tape was only made to help Kardashian land a reality TV contract. So, is she a reality star who made porn, or a porn star who made a reality TV show? We'll let you decide.

Kelly Bensimon

With a reputation that somehow hovers just above porn films or magazines like Penthouse, Playboy has always been the most popular go-to for celebrities who want to add a little skin to their portfolio. Unsurprisingly, reality stars have been frequent contributors to the magazine's pages. Real Housewives of New York star Kelly Bensimon appeared on the March 2010 cover.

Yes, Mini-Me has a sex tape. Released shortly after his appearance on The Surreal Life, the "leaked" video features Troyer in his home with a young lady. (It's mostly footage of Troyer giving very specific instructions on how to touch his mini-me.)
