UPDATE 3: In a 911 call obtained by US Weekly from Monday, April 24, Chris Soules can be heard telling the dispatcher that he had been involved in an accident and that he had checked the victim's pulse.
When asked if the victim was breathing, the Bachelor alum replied, "I can't tell. He doesn't appear to be."
The dispatcher followed up with asking Soules if he knew CPR. He told her, "No, I don't," before asking, "Anybody know how to do CPR?" It is unclear who he was asking at the time.
The reality star also told the dispatcher that the victim was bleeding from his mouth, adding, "I feel a pulse."
UPDATE 2: Following Tuesday's arrest, Chris Soules' ex-fiancée Whitney Bischoff spoke out on the accident.
"This is a very sad situation," the 31-year-old fertility nurse told PEOPLE. "I'm keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers, especially the victim and his family."
UDPATE: 35-year-old Chris Soules appeared in court on Tuesday following his early morning arrest after fleeing the scene of a deadly car crash.
Court documents obtained by PEOPLE confirm that Soules was allegedly in possession of alcoholic beverages and containers in his truck, however, TMZ reported that it is unclear as to whether they were still sealed or not.
Soules allegedly left the scene after rear-ending his pickup truck into a tractor being driven by 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher of Aurora, IA. Mosher later died at the hospital. The Iowa State Patrol stated that Soules vehicle was later found at a home that he was present at, where he reportedly refused to elave the house until officers obtained a search warrant several hours later.
The state prosectutor stated in court, "Mr. Soules would not come out of the home. It took hours to get a search warrant to retrieve Mr. Soules from inside of that house in order to continue the investigation. That took hours. At no point did Mr. Soules come out of the house, or cooperate with law enforcement at any point in trying to get in contact with him regarding this individual and the [fatal] accident."
Former 'Bachelor' Chris Soules was arrested Monday night in Buchanan, Iowa, following a fatal car crash.
Soules was reportedly driving his Chevy pickup truck when he allegedly rear-ended a John Deere tractor trailer around 8:20 PM, sending both vehicles into a ditch.
The season 19 Bachelor reportedly fled the scene, and the driver was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he later died. Although not many details are known about the crash, according to TMZ, Soules is in custody on the charges of leaving the scene with a death, and he did receive medical attention.
After his season on The Bachelor Soules appeared on ABC's Dancing With The Stars and has since returned to cameo on several recent Bachelor shows. There are rumors that he will appear on this summer's Bachelor in Paradise.
