Caroline Solomon (@lowcheekbones) is using her Instagram account to poke fun at some of the crazy makeup tutorials, and we promise you won't stop laughing.
Solomon, a former beauty staffer at Glamour, had a front row-seat to anything inherently absurd but stil accepted in the fashion world, and she's using that knowledge to refreshingly skewer each and every trend she finds. Seriously, nothing is safe.
The account started last spring after creating posting a video about a razor extender. She told TeenVogue, "From there, it opened up this Pandora's Box of ridiculous makeup tutorials that I wanted to explore. There's an explosion of ridiculous content on the web. I wanted to parody that."
In the past year we've seen her apply peanut butter as concealer, wear guacamole like a boss, and find total new ways to rock the rainbow hair trend (AKA gummy worms). Oh, and the correct way to steam your face.
"The impulse to satirize makeup hacks and tutorials definitely started at Glamour, as a response to how seriously everyone takes makeup," Solomon told Creators. "I was feeling uninspired by the beauty content I was producing (there are only so many ways to spin a 'no makeup makeup look'), and at the same time, there were so many ridiculous aspects of beauty that no one was shedding light on."
TBH, it's all in the delivery that gets us. With the perfect jargon and facials, she is totally spot-on in her act! We can't get enough of Solomon's sense of humor and these insanely funny videos. Check out her Instagram account if you want to spend the rest of your day laughing.
