Whether it’s that long-needed night out after weeks of working too many late hours and not seeing each other or a much-anticipated first date that will (hopefully) lead to another, you want it to be a memorable evening. Thankfully, the holidays are just around the corner meaning there’s a handful of blockbusters coming our way. Here are five to help make your romantic night out one to remember.

And guys, if you’re reading this, we like pick the movie.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 (in theaters November 16)

What could possibly go better with Christmas carols and mistletoe than vampires? Find out what this franchise’s legion of female fans have been clamoring about for so long. Just don’t make a first date sit through this one unless you want him to think you’re one of those crazed female fans.

Playing For Keeps (in theaters December 7)
For the past several years now, Hollywood decides to throw about half dozen (or more) really hot A-listers together for a holiday romance that will rake in big dough at the box office. And you know what? It works. Remember He’s Just Not That Into You, The Holiday, Love Actually, or Valentine’s Day, which starred Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, both Jessicas, both McSteamy and McDreamy and about a ten other top-paid actors? Well, all of these titles are in the top 50 highest-grossing romantic films of all times, and here's one more for the list.

Best thing about ensemble casts? You’re sure to have at least one other person to focus on if your date turns out to be a dud.

Anna Karenina (in theaters November 16th)
Vladimir Nabokov called it "One of the greatest love stories in world literature”. And now you no longer have to feel guilty over not having read the 1870’s masterpiece, which is almost 1,000 pages long. Just head to the big screen and sit back, relax and enjoy the large helping of eye candy all the critics are promising this film will deliver. Whether you’ve just met or you’ve been together for years, this epic love story is sure to help make your night unforgettable.

Silver Linings Playbook (in theaters November 21)
Bradley Cooper (yep, him again) and Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence get together for this story about two people with their own unique set of problems who form a relationship and find ways to get their acts together again. As this tale is one part comedy and one part drama, it might be a better choice for the couple who’s been out at least a few times.

Silent Night (in theaters November 30)
I know, who the hell wants to go with their date to see a movie about an axe-wielding Santa? Well, if you checked the “Likes Horror Flicks” on your eHarmony profile, you do. Besides, isn’t being completely terrified a perfect excuse to move just a little closer?
