Is It Crazy Not to Be on Facebook?

Psychologists and employers say not having a profile on the site could be a red flag

by Lesley Kennedy • Reporter

Wait. You’re not on Facebook? What kind of psychopath are you?

According to the Daily Mail in London, some psychologists are calling nonusers of the social-networking site “suspicious” or even dangerous, and some human resource departments are passing on non-Facebook users because of concerns that scandalous material may have been deleted.

The German magazine Der Taggspiegel even drew attention to the fact that neither James Holmes, the accused Aurora, Colorado, movie-theater murderer, nor Anders Behring Breivik, the man behind last year’s mass murder in Norway, had a Facebook profile, the newspaper reports.

Do you think the lack of a Facebook profile marks you as unstable or strange? Or is it just a sign that you’d rather connect to people face to face? Leave a comment below!
