It’s officially fall—the season of cozy knits, pumpkin pie, falling leaves and sex. Lots and lots of sex. Welcome, autumn!

The German newspaper Die Welt reports that this is the best season for lovemaking, as male testosterone levels reach their seasonal peak and the hormonal glands of women are also most active, according to researchers.

So grab a quilt, start a fire, sip some wine and feel free to get a little frisky. You can always blame it on the weather.
