Meet Elizabeth Nichols

You know what they say: behind every great e-retailer, there's a great woman. Taigan, an online store that offers a carefully-curated selection of goods from shops around the world, has gained traction and praise since its inception in 2008. Elizabeth Nichols, Taigan's CEO, combined her impeccable taste and experience as president of a shopping-mall realty company to guide the store to success. She's handpicked her favorite gifts that will please even the fussiest of friends and family.

Pocket Phone

For the woman who can't put down her smartphone, a delicate beaded strap gussies up this utilitarian, cigar-pouch-inspired phone case. The only thing better than the combination of the two is the convenience factor.

Mixed-Metal Bracelet

Eschew delicate, ultra-feminine jewelry for a chunky link bracelet. The varied assortment of rose-gold and matte-bronze links is unexpected and edgy.

Wooden Accents

Everyone loves a new pair of staple studs, and these wood and citrine earrings are a modern update. The gemstone-and-wood pairing is a fresh alternative to typical metals like silver and gold.

Chic Carry-All

We like it because it's versatile...but also because it looks like Bottega Veneta meets a long beach vacation.

Hint of Ombré

This pleated shirtdress is easy and elegant. Plus, the relaxed silhouette makes sizing a cinch.

Pleats, Please

The cut is especially flattering, but it's the silver sheen that makes this the perfect New Year's Eve dress.

A Bit of Bling

Who needs an arm party when one can make a statement with a single cuff? This catches the light and packs a visual punch with little effort.

Chill Keeper

Give the luxury of sipping in style: A pewter champagne bucket will look as good alone as it will cradling a bottle of Veuve.

Amethyst Accents

In our books, elegant bell-drop earrings are always welcome. The rich purple hue draws attention to the face while diamonds catch the light.

Singular Scent

If wild rose makes you think of something you'd find in your late grandmother's closet, guess again. This unique blend of wild rose, marjoram and sandalwood is warm and only slightly floral—no cloying notes here.

Patterns That Please

Bold and sophisticated, this tableware set makes a statement. Plus, the pieces are chip- and rust-resistant, meaning they'll be a dinner party staple for years to come.

Slice of Style

Spiff up your favorite barbeque buff with these ergonomic steak knives; they lend a sophisticated flair to even a casual cook-out.

Bottoms Up

A beautiful, hand-crafted drinking glass will make a statement, especially when gifted alongside a bottle of good Scotch.

Cheers to That

These cheeky cocktail napkins can be monogrammed for your best friend, the one who likes to drink like a fish (not that we're judging).

Resort-Ready Towels

A striped towel set has a nautical, our-yacht-is-en-route-to-Santorini feel. The cotton is super-soft and extra-absorbent, and the pattern brightens up a dull bathroom.

These are ridiculous gifts - what average person could afford these?? I don't think most people would typically spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on a gift for a friend or family member. Get real!
