After the big summer launch of Art Unites—Donatella Versace’s charity collaboration with the Whitney’s Education Department, to benefit kids in the States and China—Versace is now making an even bigger splash with the sale of one-of-a-kind Versace canvas totes designed by the children in need.

The program supports two causes: Starlight Children’s Foundation in the US, an organization focused on caring for seriously ill children and their families, and One Foundation in China, which is committed to the long-term recovery of victims from the Sichuan province earthquakes last year. As part of Versace’s goal to inspire creativity and lift spirits, the compnay provided canvas and art supplies to more than 1,400 children, who were encouraged to create original drawings focused around the theme of “friendship.” The bags are currently being sold Versace boutiques worldwide for a retail price between $200 and $250, and 100% of proceeds will be donated equally to Starlight and One Foundation.  For more information, go to Versace.com.
