Pokémon Go became one of the top downloaded games ever, and this Halloween you can bet there are going to be some trainers running about. Sure there are only three main teams: Valor, Mystic, and Instinct, but you can easily make this a group costume by adding in Pokémon (Pidgey and Rattata especially) along with Pokéstops, items (all the eggs), and to be really humorous, a dead battery.

Forget the Disney Princesses. This Halloween take a walk on the evil side with the Disney villains. Ursula, the Evil Queen, Maleficent—sure they come to mind first—but don't forget some men like Scar, Jafar, Captain Hook. You can leave out Gaston though, because literally nobody likes his misogynistic ideals anyway.
Board Game Crew

Turn into your favorite board game characters! Clue is super simple, dressing in each suspect's colors and choosing a weapon. But you could also do Candy Land with Queen Frostine, Princess Lolly Pop, Lord Licorice and Mr. Mint. Whatever route you choose, this idea is a winner.
Social Media Sites

When it comes to thinking about Halloween costumes, it's best to think about what's popular. And social media has taken over the world. Print out icons for each and center your outfit around their colors (red for Pinterest, cobalt for Facebook, light blue for Twitter). Just remember that Instagram changes from brown to pink/yellow/purple/orange now though.
The Spice Girls

Sporty, Baby, Scary, Ginger, and Posh—you cannot go wrong going as one of the most popular girl groups of all time. As long as you follow each girl's signature style (sweet and pink for Baby, British everything for Ginger, leopard for Scary, a sports bra for Sporty, and high fashion for Posh) no one will say "who are you supposed to be?"

This costume is all about the wigs. Make sure everyone finds a different color. From there all you need are tan outfits. This idea is a great throwback to the '90s toy, especially with Dream Work's new film Trolls releasing shortly after Halloween on November 4th.

For the trendiest group costume, go for the ultimate super heroes of this year. Don't want to drop a fortune on a super suit? Go as their alter egos holding a mask like this Iron Man costume from Her Campus.

Leave it to Disney-Pixar to create characters perfect for impersonation. And Inside Out is probably one of the easiest. It's all about the colors for each emotion (red for anger, purple for fear, yellow for joy, green for disgust, and blue for sadness). Disclaimer: You must be able to pull off the facial expressions.

Step on down! This costume is definitely the right price when you DIY it! Put together the entire crew or just go as four contestants with cardboard bids. Other game shows to try: Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, Deal or No Deal, Jeopardy.

Judges from the Voice
10 / 28VIEW ALL
The new season is bringing some new judges so why not go as them? Sure, we will all miss Christina, but we gotta say we're excited for Alicia Keys to join the team! Besides, going as her means you can skip the makeup right? Win/win.

Dr. Seuss Characters

There are so many ways to tribute your favorite author. Go as the Grinch with a green suit and add some Whos, slip into tutus for "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish," or get a giant group together and go as all the characters!
The Seven Dwarves

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to win a costume contest you go! Grab some over-sized t-shirts, add belts, hats and name tags and this costume is done. Of course, if there's more than seven you can go as the whole crew with a Snow White, Evil Queen, and Prince Charming.

Game of Thrones

Sure you and your bestie can do a GoT power duo, but if there's more, go as the entire Iron Throne-fighting crew! We give major props to this cosplay crew from Light Grey Art Lab. Just look at that authenticity! Yes, this is one of the more complicated costumes on our list but we have faith your squad can totally pull it off.

Go as the famous divas of our time like Taylor Swift (high-waisted shorts and red lips), Beyonce with (gold leotard and killer heels), Gaga (literally anything crazy), Katy Perry in the "Roar" video (leopard crop top and grass skirt) or the "Last Saturday Night" video (neon crop top and body skirt). Or if you'd rather, turn into your favorite decade divas like Madonna/Cindy Lauper/Janet Jackson for the '80s, or even Britney/Christina/J Lo for the '90s. Whichever way you choose, this idea hits all the right notes.

Any Adult Cartoon
15 / 28VIEW ALL
Adult TV shows were made for Halloween costumes, mostly because they're so easy! Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Bob's Burgers or even Futurama—you can't mess this one up.
Alice in Wonderland
16 / 28VIEW ALL
Sure you can just go as Alice, but this book (that's right, not just a film) was made for groups. With so many characters to choose from you'll find one for everyone. For a simpler idea head for the Disney version. Up for a challenge—Tim Burton all the way my friends.
17 / 28VIEW ALL
This idea only works with four, unless you count construction season. But the basic idea blue/white for winter, pastels for spring, warm colors for autumn, and bright colors for summer. The fun part about this idea is you can keep it simple or be as intricate as you want.
18 / 28VIEW ALL
Sure it's been done, but it's a classic for a reason! One of those is that you probably have all the pieces already. You can also buy them of course, but we lean more to DIY because then it's unique to you (and more fun to create).

Here's your golden ticket to the best group costume of the year. In honor of Gene Wilder (R.I.P. good sir), choose Halloween costumes from one of his signature roles: Willy Wonka. Include Oompa Loompas, the kids, Charlie, golden tickets, and of course the legend himself.

In case you haven't heard via the new MAC collection, this year Star Trek celebrates its 50th anniversary. Get in the Trekkie spirit and go as the whole crew. All you really need are yellow and red long sleeve shirts. Bonus points for any "live long and prosper" hand gestures.

Make people laugh with this super easy idea. All you need are seven gray tops that say the day of the week and shark hats. That's it! Well, and pants of cours— but you can do anything from jeans to matching gray tutus.
The Peanuts Crew
22 / 28VIEW ALL
Recreate Charles M. Schulz's classic characters for Halloween. You don't need the lemonade stand or the mini piano, but hey, it totally helps. We will say you definitely need a Charlie Brown and Lucy though. Bonus points for knowing the Snoopy dance.
23 / 28VIEW ALL
No we aren't talking about the Boy Who Lived and his friends, although you could. But honestly we think mixing it up this year is where it's at. Go as the teachers, or Voldemort's (yup we aren't afraid) Death Eaters and impress all your fellow Potterheads. Bonus points for finding someone willing to transform into the evil, terrible Umbridge.

How cute is this! We love the idea of impersonating holidays for a holiday. Pick your favorites or go with who has what in their closet already. Focus on the colors like pink for Valentine's, red and green for Christmas, red, white, and blue for Fourth of July, and you can't go wrong. Warning: Watch out for cultural appropriation. Stick with turkeys for Thanksgiving and leave the Native American costume on the rack.

Once Upon a Time
25 / 28VIEW ALL
We love the idea of modern fairy tales, which is why we're super into Once Upon a Time. The show gives you so many characters to choose from. Go for season one with the Evil Queen, Snow, Emma, Belle, and The Dark One. Or try for one of the later seasons with Regina's transformation, Frozen, Brave, or Peter Pan (though he's awful). It will take a bit more effort and money, but if you guys go for it you won't regret it.
Seven Deadly Sins
26 / 28VIEW ALL
If the dwarves don't strike your fancy, then try out this idea for your group of seven. Each sin is easily represented (sloth = bathrobe, lust = lingerie, gluttony = food, wrath = devil, greed = money, envy = green, pride = tiara), but you can be as detailed as you want. It's Halloween, you can be a little sinful right? ;)
All the Kardashians

With Kylie's lip kits and Kim always baring it all, this group is the most talked about family on television. When you roll up dressed as this crew, everyone will know the party has arrived. Just be wary of the paparazzi.

Are you obsessed with losing three pounds? Is your hair full of secrets? Can your breasts tell when it's raining? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then Mean Girls is the costume choice for you. Recreate the Plastics' signature look with short skirts and shades of pink (especially on Wednesday). More than four? You can always add Janice (black and artsy), Ian (blue sweatshirt and black shades), or even Regina's mom (pink sweatsuit).
