This season's shoe forecast is insanely unpredictable—from super casual slippers to unconventional heels. Put your best foot forward and into one of these five rad styles.
The mule is a backless shoe, and back for spring. Both closed-toe and open-toe versions can be worn with pretty much anything! I like pairing them for the office with slim leg pants that hit just above the ankle. Go for basic colors to get more bang for your buck. Karla of Karla's Closet wore her white Alexander Wang Mules with a slim leg jean just the way I like it!
Prints are big for spring, but if you're hesitant to wear a bold pattern on a blouse or pant, then shoes offer the perfect way to participate in the trend. You can find them in bright floral or daring animal prints. Wear them with a monochromatic look to let them pop, or pair them with denim like Jessie of Seams for a Desire did for a casual everyday look.
Flatform Sneakers and Slip-ons
We've been seeing a lot of '90s styles in recent months and the flatform is one of them. Unlike the platform, the flatform has no height difference from the toes to the heel. This trendy and casual style is great for a day at the park or museum, or anything that requires a lot of walking because they are super comfy! I like pairing mine with denim cut-off shorts and a graphic tank just like Miss Enocha did of Locks and Trinkets.
Short Stack Heel
The short stacked heel, made popular by the infamous Isabel Marant style from last Spring is a great staple shoe. Often seen in a wooden heel, the short stack is comfy, yet gives you that extra bit of height. It's perfect for day-to-night looks! For day, wear them with wide leg linen pants or denim. For night, opt for a fun printed midi skirt like the one seen on Sheryl of Walk in Wonderland.
Shower Shoes and Birkenstocks
The infamous super casual slipper is a huge trend this season. This is one style I have yet to try, but if I were to ever slip one of these on, I would wear it with a crop top and mini skirt duo to add some much needed sex appeal and femininity. Sabrina of Afterdrk shows us the perfect way to dress up Birkenstocks.
