Desk to Date: Holiday Party Dress

With the holidays here, you may find yourself rushing straight from work to a holiday or New Year’s Eve party. Here is a quick and easy way to transition a holiday dress from your desk to a fun and fancy date!

Desk
For my work day look, I started with a bold royal blue dress with a crocheted neckline. I kept the jewelry simple because I didn’t want it to over power the gorgeous crochet detailing. You can never go wrong with a black blazer. It’s an instant power piece in any woman’s wardrobe that tailors the look of any outfit. I cinched in my waist with a gold glitter belt and slipped on some gold glittered flats to match. This look is a perfect way to make your holiday dress work appropriate!

Date
To jazz up this look a bit for the date outfit, I switched out the blazer for a fuzzy faux fur jacket. It might get chilly at night so some black tights and booties are a must, plus this adds a hint of fanciness to any look. If you know you’re going to be walking around a lot, throw your wallet and some lip gloss into a cross-body bag for easy carrying. If you're anything like me, you have everything but the kitchen sink in your day-to-day bag {oops!}. Now that you’re party ready, it’s time to celebrate the holiday season. Cheers!
