The High Line, a 1.5 mile long elevated rail structure that has been revamped into a city park, runs parallel to the Uber chic Meat Packing District (home to some of the most stylish retailers). Fashionistas flocked, and the park’s neighboring retailers took notice: Beginning this summer, some of them are introducing limited edition pieces, with proceeds going to Friends of The High Line, an organization that oversees park maintenance and operation. Participating designers include Hugo Boss, Alexander McQueen and Diane von Furstenberg (whose High Line towel is reminiscent of the park’s grassy space and railroad roots). “Everyone who loves the High Line will now be able to have a little piece of it for their own” said Joshua David, co-founder of Friends of the High Line. So hit the beach in style while also giving back by going to dvf.com for the High Line towel—like your very own piece of the High Line.
