President Obama announced his support for gay marriage; Oreo posted a picture of a “pride” cookie, complete with a rainbow of cream layers, on its Facebook page; and now Google is kicking off a campaign to “legalize love.” Yep, same-sex couples are getting some affection.
CNN reports the search engine giant is working with companies in countries that have antigay laws, focusing on employment discrimination and human rights.
“We want our employees who are gay or lesbian or transgender to have the same experience outside the office as they do in the office,” Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe, a Google exec, said recently, according to the network. “It is obviously a very ambitious piece of work.”
