Questions to ask yourself:
a. What time would you wake up?
b. How would you spend your time before work?
c. What would you wear to work?
d. How would you get to work? Walk? Bus? Car? Plane? Work from home?
e. If you have an office? What would it look like? Describe it in detail.
f. Do you work with other people? If so, what are they like?
g. What kinds of things are you doing all day?
h. How do you spend your lunch hour?
i. Do you do the same thing all day or are you doing different things?
j. What are you known for?
k. What time are you done with work?
After taking the time to go through all of these exercises, think about your work life now, how close are you to it now? What are small and big changes that you could make to get closer to this ideal work day?
