Hijab-Wearing Model...

Hijab-Wearing Model Halima Aden Signs With The World's Top Modeling Agency

The former Miss Minnesota contestant made headlines for proudly competing in her hijab. Now, the young model has signed a contract with IMG, the world's top modeling agency.

It's 2017, and while the rest of the world seems unaware of the year, at least the fashion industry knows it's the 21st century. Halima Aden, the 19-year-old Somali-American former Miss Minnesota pageant contestant, has just been signed to the world's top modeling agency, IMG Models.

After Aden rocked a burkini and her hijab at the Miss Minnesota pageant, she garnered national attention for diversifying beauty pageant stereotypes and for shining a positive light on Muslim women. And some big names in the fashion industry were definitely watching Aden. She recently walked the runway for Kanye West's Season 5 Yeezy line during New York Fashion Week dressed in her hijab.

We wish Aden all the best for her career and we cannot wait to see her walking every top runway in the world!
