H&M's Conscious Exclusive Collection Is Changing Sustainable Fashion As We Know It

Erase every previous notion you have of sustainable fashion. H&M's latest collection is using a revolutionary material to create higher-end, planet-friendly clothing, and so far it's gorgeous.

Clear out all of your previous notions of stiff, bland-colored planet-friendly clothing. H&M is changing the runway and making some huge waves with its newest collection.

The latest Conscious Exclusive collection is made up of higher-end, planet-friendly items in an attempt to change the stereotype of sustainably-made clothing, and TBH, by the looks of how gorgeous this gown is, they're definitely succeeding.

What is helping them stay so environmentally conscious? In addition to already being one of the world's largest users of recycled polyester and organic cotton, H&M has also started using a seriously revolutionary material called Bionic that is a recycled polyester created from plastic waste collected on shorelines. Seriously.

As if that's not impressive enough, they have an ultimate goal to have all of their cotton 100 percent sustainably sourced by 2020, and we are so behind them in this mission.

Supermodel and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova is fronting the campaign that, when finished, will include a full line for women, relaxed formal wear for men, a kid's line and even a Conscious Exclusive fragrance made from organic oils to top it off. You won't be able to find the rest of the collection until April 20, but if you want even more of a tease, check out H&M's campaign video below, which is seriously mind-blowing.
