Music Video Teaches Kids about Taking Care of the Earth

Moms, kids, and kindie rock fans unite! Seventh Generation recently raised the curtain on a new summer music promotion with best-selling children’s performers, the Laurie Berkner Band. The song “One Seed” expresses the importance of passing down environmental awareness from one generation to the next and was penned specifically for Seventh Generation.

The video for “One Seed” features Laurie and friends singing the song’s super catchy lyrics and demonstrating the easy hand movements that accompany the song. View the music video for “One Seed” here.

“One Seed” and four other exclusive tracks from the Laurie Berkner Band, including the title track off her soon to be released DVD "Party Day,” are available for free download with the purchase of two specially-marked Seventh Generation laundry or baby care items. To download the special music collection, consumers can visit Seventh Generation. There’s also a chance to enter a sweepstakes to win a family trip to see the Laurie Berkner Band live and in concert. The grand prize includes airfare, hotel accommodations, premium seats, and backstage passes to meet the band.

Laurie Berkner is an award-winning, best-selling children's author and songwriter. A former preschool music teacher by day and indie rocker by night, Laurie Berkner started selling her music over ten years ago out of her living room on her own label, Two Tomatoes Records. Laurie was the first artist to ever appear in music videos on Nick Jr. and she has penned two books, released six CDs, as well as a quadruple-platinum-selling DVD. The Laurie Berkner Band performs across North America, with concerts held at varied venues from the White House to Carnegie Hall. The Laurie Berkner Band consists of Laurie Berkner (guitar/vocals), Susie Lampert (keyboards), Adam Bernstein (bass) and Bob Golden (drums/percussion).

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Laurie Berkner Band on this summer music promotion,” said Maureen Wolpert, Brand Marketing Director at Seventh Generation. “The song ‘One Seed’ perfectly conveys Seventh Generation’s mission—to create a more conscious and sustainable world—in a way that both young and old can enjoy.”
