Ms. Cook said that she does feel better and knows she must stick with her treatments. “It does make a difference,” she said of taking medications and consistently seeing her therapist. “It feels like I have my head above the water rather than below it. I can see where I’m going. There are hard times and sad times still, but I can navigate. It gets very overwhelming, but I don’t feel like it’s impossible."
