My Lingerie Photo Shoot

Stepping out of my comfort zone made me appreciate my devotion to health and fitness.

I am 48, fit and active. I am far from perfect but strive everyday to better my health, eating habits and exercise routine. I enjoy being outdoors, running, hiking, riding my beach cruiser, weight lifting, kayaking, and of course, keeping up with my two children.

I am actually shy about showing my body, but realize as I get older how proud I am of my ability to stay lean and tone.

I love to cook and am always looking for new and exciting ways to prepare meals for myself and my family. I post many of my food prep and plated meals on Facebook and Instagram. My friends look forward to the posts from “Sunny’s Kitchen.”

I love photography and am always trying to capture something beautiful and unique. “Images by Sunny Oberto” is what I like to call my amateur photography collection. Sunsets, scenic views and nature are most intriguing to me.

I recently stepped out of my comfort zone and had some beautiful pictures taken for a Christmas present to my husband of 15 years. I think I was more surprised than he was when I saw the results of my pictures. I guess I never realized how beautiful I was. My self esteem and personal body image was not what it should have been. I am extremely hard on myself.

I believe that sitting for a lingerie shoot was the best thing I ever did. I was nervous and shy at first but the photographer and her assistant made me feel so comfortable. They knew exactly how I was feeling and did everything they needed to direct me to pose and relax and point my toes to create these amazing photos.

I guess what I am saying is, you are beautiful no matter what you think. Step outside the comfort zone and be yourself. You will be surprised more than anyone else. It has given me more inspiration, confidence and power than I ever knew I could have.

I highly recommend the experience.

I am focused on being future fit and always in motion. That is my life -long motto. Healthy eating is not a diet — it is a lifestyle. The same goes for staying fit. It is not an exercise plan it is a lifestyle for healthy living.

Be future fit and always in motion!
