My Scale, My Addiction

I find no harm in weighing several times a day as long as your happiness for that day is not defined by the fluctuation. I find it good to know what sparks weight gain in order to keep it under control, and what possible eating pleasures have little influence. I find it enjoyable, in a peculiar way, waiting for the red numbers to go up and down finally flashing my weight as a neon sign in a store window flashes “open.” I have, therefore, come to the conclusion that as long as this obsession is kept in perspective, this simple little addiction is one I prefer to not only keep, but to recommend.
