If the first lady suddenly seems distracted, it might have something to do with the fact that she has now joined Pinterest.

Today reports that Michelle Obama has started an account on the highly addictive sharing website, posting candid family photos, pics from talk show appearances with the likes of Jimmy Fallon and Ellen DeGeneres, and a Father’s Day board that lets followers (she has 20,000 and counting) sign a card for her hubby, the prez.

Obama joins Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, on the site. According to the news show, Romney’s Pinterest account contains patriotic recipes—her flag cake would make fine July Fourth fare.

Kinda gives new meaning to political pins, now, doesn’t it?
