After a 14-year hiatus, filmmaker Whit Stillman (Metropolitan) returns with a satire that plays like a hyperverbal offspring of Clueless and Mean Girls. Greta Gerwig stars as a coed bent on fixing male students’ hygiene problems . . . and creating a dance craze. It may be frothy, but it’s zingingly articulate.
Rachel Weisz leaves a lustless marriage after falling for a rakish RAF pilot in a doomed romance set in postwar Britain. Terence Davies (The House of Mirth) directs, and Tom Hiddleston (War Horse) provides the passion in this sumptuous adaptation of Terence Rattigan’s play.
