Alec Baldwin taught us you can get in trouble for refusing to quit playing Words with Friends on a flight. Green Day’s Billy Joe Armstrong got no airplane love for wearing saggy pants. And, of course, there was that time Gerard Depardieu tried to go to the bathroom in his airplane seat. Gross.
But being taken into police custody for painting your nails at a mile high? Well, we don’t think we’ve heard that one before. MSNBC reports Jeanie Daniels was polishing her nails on a Southwest Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Houston when she was asked to stop by a flight attendant. We’re sure her fellow passengers were pleased.
“I said, ‘OK, I'm sorry, I apologize,’ and I put it away,” Daniels told KTRK Channel 13 in Houston, according to MSNBC. “Then about 20 minutes into the flight, I discovered I only had two nails left to paint and if I went to the bathroom and did it, it wouldn't offend anyone.”
Boy, was she wrong.
“She was getting so loud, while I was sitting in my seat, and I was just like, ‘Will you stop!’ And I was loud when I said, ‘Stop bitching at me,’ because she wouldn't end the conversation,” Daniels told the channel, describing a confrontation with another flight attendant.
Upon landing, Daniels was taken into custody, and she was released after 10 hours in jail, MSNBC reports.
Next time: Get a mani before you leave for the airport. So much cheaper and less time consuming.
