Debra Messing Planning a Return to TV
Good news for a Thursday—one of our favorite actresses, Debra Messing, is doing a half-hour comedy pilot for ABC called Wright vs. Wrong, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Messing will play Evelyn Wright, "a driven conservative pundit who tries to maintain her public persona despite facing her own vulnerabilities," as THR puts it. Messing will be an executive producer, as she was on her last series, The Starter Wife. We can’t wait to say "welcome back" to this Emmy winner.

Sarah Palin, Queen of All Media?
In other TV development news, Entertainment Weekly reported exclusively that everyone’s favorite Alaskan, Sarah Palin, has been meeting with the networks to pitch a docudrama idea about her home state that she’s been working on with reality-TV producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice). One executive described the project to The Hollywood Reporter as "Planet Earth meets Alaska meets her family." While in LA this past week, Palin also appeared on The Tonight Show and, EW notes, visited American Idol and cruised the Oscar gifting suites with family members. Meanwhile, USA Today reports that Palin is working on a new book that will be "a celebration of American virtues and strengths," according to an announcement by her publisher, HarperCollins. Her first book, Going Rogue, has sold more than two million copies; a release date for the new tome has not yet been announced.

The Kinsey Report
Tonight’s hour-long episode of The Office will be all about Jim and Pam’s baby, and castmate Angela Kinsey reveals to the Toronto Sun that she had a few ideas for the writers. Kinsey, who was pumping breast milk on the set after the birth of her daughter in 2008, says she pulled the female writers (who don’t have children) aside and pitched them breast-feeding jokes. "I don’t know what they used or didn’t use," she says, "but it’s a fun episode.”
