Iconic actress Farrah Fawcett died early this morning, at 62. Her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal tells People: "She’s gone. She now belongs to the ages. . . I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much." He added that she was in and out of consciousness before passing, but that he "talked to her all through the night." It was reported earlier today that Fawcett had received her last rites at a Los Angeles hospital.

Her death comes after a three-year battle with anal cancer; last month a documentary about her struggle aired on NBC. Fawcett’s Charlie’s Angels colleagues Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd both released statements: "Farrah had courage, she had strength, and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels," said Smith. And Ladd stated: "I’m terribly sad about Farrah’s passing. She was incredibly brave, and God will be welcoming her with open arms."

Just to show that good people steal good material:
A friend of mine ran into Her Majesty the Queen, in Wellies; she was shopping for dog food for the corgies out in the car, in Cornwall. He said "My goodness, you look just like the Queen."
"That's very reassuring," she replied.
Another friend ran into Farrah in the ladies' room at Toronto's Four Seasons. "My goodness," said Elizabeth, "You look just like Farrah Fawcett."
"That's very reassuring," she replied.
