Philly is for Foodies

Philadelphia's the destination for French food this spring. Bon appetite!

If you love French food, Philadelphia is the place to be this month. As part of the first-ever Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts eleven master chefs from Lyon and Paris are being flown in paired with chefs at popular Philadelphia restaurants like Bibou, Table 31 and Rouge. If this sounds like a new reality show where all the swearing has to be subtitled, just know that the end result is sure to delicious. The French chefs are in town from April 13th to the 16th but the menus they develop will be available through May 1st. For a complete list of participating restaurants and chefs, visit Pifa.org.

And if more casual French fare is your thing, you can get your fill of grilled cheese sandwiches and beer at the Fromage Gille Et Biere event at the World Café Live on April 26th. Then there’s the six-block Street Fair on Saturday, April 30, which along with a Ferris Wheel and two stages of entertainment, will offer no shortage of French street food like croissants, cakes and crepes.
