Well, my story is very simple. In November of 2007 at the age of 41, I was very tired and I was diagnose with IBS. I weighed 180 pounds and was a size 12 and just did not feel very well. Right after Thanksgiving I prayed to the Lord to help me eat better. Well, I started off eating a vegetable soup and no bread, pasta or rice for about 2 months just to detoxify my body.
Then in January of 2008, I cut my portions down by using a smaller plate. I also began walking every day for 30 minutes. I stopped eating a lot of junk food and continued to eat a lot of fruits and vegetable and nuts. In March of 2008 I had lost 10 pounds. I knew that I was on the right track so I continued. By August of 2008 I was down to a size 8 and weighed 165. I knew I was on my way. So today a years and 8 months later I weigh 137 and I am down to a size 4 and no MORE IBS!!!!
It took a while to get here but with my prayers and sticking to what I was supposes to do I can say that it can be done. I still eat smaller portions every 2 to 3 hours and I walk twice a day to maintain. I am 43 now AND I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!.
