Can you remember life before body shapers? Panty lines, back bulges and muffin tops—ring a bell? Now that the market is awash in “miracle” undergarments that suck in and shape, it’s hard to decide which pieces are worth the investment. Recently I came across something called the OverBra, from BiFlex Intimates Group, and had to give this shapewear-bustwear-in-one a test-drive. What makes it different? The Overbra is meant to be worn OVER any regular bra (so no more uni-boob).
With four styles to choose from, I tried the Longline OverBra (available in black and nude for $45). It has a longer bodice to the hip, front closure hooks and a racerback. While it looks like a complicated contraption at first, it’s really just a more technical bustier with lots of control. Right away, I noticed the smoothing effect without feeling constricted. It looked natural under my clothes, allowed me to consume food (typically in shapers, one bite makes me feel like I’m going to bust) and made the most of my curves. Works for me.
But don’t just take my word for it. Slip into it yourself and let us know what you think.
