These beauty and fashion VIPs could afford to stock their bathrooms with nothing but luxe loot. Yet all admit to loving a deal. The reason? Just like us, they appreciate value. Here, their favorite finds
A onetime Wall Street banker, now a fashion mogul, Natori has expanded her successful line of tasteful lingerie into a lifestyle brand that includes bedding and ready-to-wear (natori.com).
Natori is loyal to Essie Nail Polish in Marshmallow, a sheer white ($8; essie.com). “It’s a versatile shade and doesn’t chip easily,” she says. Another favorite: Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 ($8; kiehls.com), which she applies pre-lipstick because it’s “super moisturizing but not sticky.” Finally, she keeps her shower stocked with L’Occitane Shea Butter Extra-Gentle Soap ($10; loccitane.com). “It leaves you smelling so fresh,” she says.
“If I’m in heels, I carry a Band-Aid Blister Block [$7; drugstores] to rub on and prevent blisters,” she says. She also swears by Ojon Super Sleek Hair Straightening Treatment ($39; ojon.com), which she uses liberally to tame her naturally coarse, curly mane.
Model, author, jewelry designer and Crabtree & Evelyn creative partner (she’s got a line of home and body products, India Hicks Island Living and Island Night; crabtree-evelyn.com). Hicks was also one of Princess Diana’s bridesmaids.
Carmex Lip Balm ($2; drugstores) is a favorite, as is her own Crabtree & Evelyn Island Living Hand Therapy ($19; crabtree-evelyn.com). “Nothing leaves my hands softer,” she says.
Fashion stylist turned beauty entrepreneur. Her essential-oil-based line of skin and hair care, Rodin Olio Lusso (oliolusso.com), is a top seller at Barneys New York.
The silver-haired Rodin can’t live without Maybelline’s Define-a-Brow Pencil in Blonde ($6; drugstores) to fill in her fair brows. And to create her trademark chignon, she swears by Ricky’s Kupfernickel Duckbill-Lite Clips ($6; rickysnyc.com).
“I battle weak nails, so my hero product is Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle Serum [$10; drugstores].” She is also addicted to Mally Beauty High Shine Liquid Lipstick Pen in Sweet Berry ($20; mallybeauty.com).
Chantecaille created a makeup collection for designer Diane von Furstenberg and helped launch Prescriptives cosmetics. Today she runs her own makeup and skin-care line, Chantecaille.
For tired eyes, Chantecaille loves Similasan Eye Drops ($11; drugstores), a homeopathic treatment. She also can't help plugging her somewhat pricier Chantecaille Cheek Crèmes ($34; chantecaille.com). "They give me the perfect amount of color," she says.
Westman sprinkles Dr. Singha’s Mustard Bath ($10; drsingha.com) into a warm bath. “It loosens my muscles and really relaxes me,” says Westman. She also orders Lucas’ Papaw Ointment ($10; amazon.com) in bulk. “It’s a miracle salve for lips and face,” she notes. Finally, she can’t live without her favorite glow getter, Revlon PhotoReady Bronzer in Bronzed and Chic ($12; drugstores), which she helped create. “It has four different shades of bronzer, so I can use it year-round, even when I’m at my palest,” she explains.
