Three generations of dancers: Kelly Bishop and Sutton Foster (center) with their Paradise Dance Studio students

Whether or not you’re familiar with Tony-winning musical comedy star Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes), get ready to be charmed. Bunheads, a laugh-out-loud dramedy from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, focuses on Michelle (Foster), a down–on-her-luck Vegas dancer who impulsively weds (she’s drunk) her shy but relentless stage door admirer. Relocating to Paradise, Calif.—that’s the coastal town where he lives—Michelle meets her formidable mother-in-law (Gilmore Girls’ Kelly Bishop), who runs a local dance school filled with “bunhead” would-be ballerinas. Reality ensues.

Bunheads debuts Monday, June 11 at 9 PM ET on ABC Family.
