This summer, we’ll be cheering USA! USA! from our living rooms as we watch the summer Olympics, but we’ll also be giving a Rah! Rah! Rah! to the women of Qatar.
The Associated Press reports that for the first time, the country will be sending women athletes to the London Games.
The International Olympic Committee extended wild-card invites to Nada Arkaji, a swimmer, and Noor al-Malki, a sprinter, according to the news service, and that number could rise.
Now it’s your turn, Saudi Arabia and Brunei: Isn’t it about time you too sent women to the Olympics?
